Workplace safety training
In Ontario, all unpaid post-secondary students are considered "workers" under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. This means you must complete specific health and safety training before starting your placement at KHSC.
The training includes:
- General health and safety topics (e.g., Workplace Violence, WHMIS, Worker Health & Safety Awareness)
- KHSC-specific modules designed to familiarize you with our safety program and protocols
