General Parking Information

There are a variety of parking options around each our hospital sites. While Kingston Health Sciences Centre only operates a small number designated spots around our Hotel Dieu and Kingston General sites, the City of Kingston and Queen’s University offer a number of on-street and parking lot options to choose from.

Parking at the HDH site

Please be aware: the City of Kingston will be replacing the sidewalk outside of the Chown Parking Garage, which is located across from our HDH site. The work will take several weeks to complete, and the garage will remain open to the public. Access to the garage will be always maintained, and the contractor will have staff available to help assist pedestrians and vehicles. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the City of Kingston customer service team email: @email or by phone: 613-546-0000.
WHAT:  Sidewalk being replaced along Brock Street in front of the Chown Parking Garage
WHEN:  Starting today (October 23, 2025) and ending in approximately 2 weeks
WHERE:  Sidewalk from the east side of the garage through to Montreal St
OF NOTE: Both pedestrian and vehicular traffic to the garage and payment machines will be maintained. Staff will be hand directing both pedestrians and vehicles to ensure the public is able to move through the site with limited disruption. A lane of the entrance to the garage will always be maintained.

Parking at the KGH site

Please note that KHSC does offer parking lot spaces outside of our various regional sites including at our dialysis clinics across southeastern Ontario and at our Breast Imaging Kingston site on John Marks Avenue.

General parking assistance or inquiries 

KHSC’s Security Control Centre is available 24/7 to answer any parking related inquiries at 613-549-6666 extension 4142. If the Security Control Centre is unable to assist you, your inquiry will be forwarded to the Manager of Parking for follow-up. 

Financial assistance may be available if parking costs are a substantial financial burden. Patients/visitors who are at the hospital frequently can speak to staff in their care unit to discuss their specific circumstances and eligibility.
