Masking Guidelines at KHSC - Updated January 30 2026
We will continue to monitor test positivity, high-risk exposures, and outbreaks, and will adjust control measures as indicated/needed.
What You Need to Know
- Masking remains fully supported. Anyone - staff, patients, caregivers, or visitors- who choose to wear a mask will continue to have access to appropriate personal protective equipment such as masks.
- Staff must don a mask when caring for a patient who is masked, in both inpatient and ambulatory/outpatient settings.
- Patients with respiratory illnesses and/or symptoms, must wear a mask when entering KHSC sites to help protect others.
- Visitors with respiratory illnesses symptoms are asked to postpone their visit until they are feeling better.

Infection Prevention and Control, in collaboration with South East Public Health, has declared a COVID-19 outbreak on the following units:
- Connell 3 - March 6, 2026
The units remain open to admissions at this time.
