Effective immediately masking is required for everyone when present on all inpatient units, in the Emergency Department (ED), the Urgent Care Centre (UCC), and the Children’s Outpatient Centre (COPC).
In 1845 the building returned to its original purpose and began seasonal operation as a hospital. A housekeeper-nurse had one helper, the Female Benevolent Society provided volunteers, and doctors took turns offering their services free-of-charge from September to May. The hospital cared mainly for the immigrant poor until the 1900's.
