Effective immediately masking is required for everyone when present on all inpatient units, in the Emergency Department (ED), the Urgent Care Centre (UCC), and the Children’s Outpatient Centre (COPC).

Did you know? KHSC staff and their families have access to a wide range of confidential, supportive services through our Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) through Homewood Health. The services are free of charge and available to you, family members and dependents 24-7.
All information remains private and confidential, and KHSC does not receive information on who accesses the service.
To access EFAP and other services on Homewood Health, log in to homeweb.ca and click on Sign-Up (for first-time users).
To create your login, you will need the following information:

What EFAP Offers:
EFAP services are confidential and free for all KHSC employees. Should your needs extend beyond the scope of EFAP coverage, Homewood Health will help you explore the options.
- Professional and confidential counselling for personal, family or work-related problems. Visit Homewood Health website or call 1-800-663-1142 to make an appointment with a counsellor or to speak immediately with a counsellor if you are in crisis.
- Life Smart Coaching Services to assist you and your family in addressing issues that may affect your well-being including for example:
- Financial counselling
- Career counselling
- Legal consultation and discounted legal services (excludes real estate)
- Child and elder care resources
- Nutritional counselling with a Dietitian
- Smoking cessation program
- Crisis Management for those situations that would benefit from an on-site counsellor providing support to staff in the form of crisis defusing or debriefing.
