When you submit your application you will receive an email confirming receipt. A recruitment team member will then review the information you have submitted against the requirements for the position and determine if your skills, abilities and experience match with the position being filled. The recruitment team member will share their recommendations with the hiring manager to review and consider.
Based on this review, you may be contacted by a member of the recruitment team for the pre-screen interview.
Our pre-screening process
Recruitment Advisors conduct pre-screening interviews by telephone. This conversation takes between 20 and 30 minutes and provides KGH with the information needed to assess how well your skills, abilities and experience align with the position. Through this process, Recruitment will concentrate its time on interviewing applicants who are felt to possess the best qualifications, skills, and responses to interview questions for the position being filled.
For some positions, there may be a testing component associated with the position. If this is the case and testing is required, this will be administered by the recruitment team as part of the qualifying process.
Scheduling of In-Person Interviews
The recruitment team will use the notes taken during the pre-screening interviews to compare candidates' skill, abilities and experience with the position. In addition, responses to the pre-screening questions will give an indication of the candidate's enthusiasm for the position. The evaluation process after pre-screening interviews will create a list of candidates suitable for a face-to-face interview. This list is based on a short list of candidates who are felt to be best qualified for the position.
The Interview Process
Is it on-site? How do I get there? Where should I go when I arrive? What should I bring with me? How long does an interview at KGH take? Interviews typically have a duration of between 30 minutes and 90 minutes, depending on the position.

If you have been selected as the successful candidate, you will be offered the position, subject to satisfactory references. If you have been unsuccessful, the recruitment team member will provide some explanation of the decision. In situations like this, the most common reason is because another candidate had a better match with the position being filled.
Offer of Employment
If you are the successful candidate, a member of the recruitment team will contact you with an offer of employment at KGH. After you have discussed the details of the offer with your Recruitment Advisor, you will be given a formal Offer Letter for you to review and accept. You will receive the offer letter along with details concerning benefits and personal information via email to get you started as quickly and efficiently as possible. There is lots of information to complete and think about – don’t worry - our team is available for you if you have any questions along the way.
The Recruitment Advisor will provide you with a reference release form in which you will provide the names of two to three previous or current supervisory references and their contact information, as well as your signature which gives KGH permission to contact those individuals. The offer of employment is subject to successful reference checks.
Along with your offer letter and new hire package, your recruitment team member will work with you to arrange your pre-placement action items to ensure you are ready to start on your first day.
