Kingston Health Sciences Centre is southeastern Ontario’s complex, acute and specialty care referral centre for key needs such as cardiac, stroke, renal, trauma, neurosurgery, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, high-risk obstetrics, acute inpatient mental health, and cancer care. More than half of our patients come from outside the Kingston area to receive care that may not be available in their communities. Below are a few partners with whom we work to offer you comprehensive care.

Providence Care Hospital

Providence Care Hospital is southeastern Ontario’s leader leading provider of specialized care in aging, mental health and rehabilitation.

Providence Care operates out of three main sites in Kingston. They are Providence Care Manor, Providence Care Mental Health Services site and St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital. Providence Care also has 20 community locations throughout the south east region, including Belleville, Brockville, Napanee, Sharbot Lake and Smiths Falls. KFL&A Public Health

Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington (KFL&A) Public Health works to promote and protect the health of the more than 180,000 residents of the counties it serves by providing public health programs and services from nutrition and food safety, raising healthy babies and children, sexual health, smoking cessation and many other public health areas.

Public health is an accredited organization that includes more than 225 staff and 150 volunteers who deliver mandatory health programs and services set by the province in the Health Protection and Promotion Act.

Brockville General Hospital

Brockville General Hospital, located about 85 kilometres east of Kingston, serves the catchment area of the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville with a population base of over 99,000 residents – a mix of rural and smaller urban communities including the City of Brockville. BGH operates out of two sites.

BGH’s Charles Street site offers full acute care services, including emergency and intensive care, medical/surgical care and obstetrical care. It also provides various ambulatory clinics, day surgery, ECG, stress testing, radiology, ultrasound and an Ontario Breast Screening Clinic. BGH’s Garden Street site specializes in complex/palliative care and rehabilitation.

BGH sponsors an Assault Response & Care Centre. The Mental Health Crisis Team of the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group has offices at BGH, and provides support to both the emergency department and inpatient services.

Lennox and Addington County General Hospital

Lennnox and Addington County General Hospital provides a range of health-care services including general medicine, general surgery and 24-hour emergency services to almost 30,000 residents of Lennox and Addington and surrounding townships.

Located in Napanee, between Belleville and Kingston, the hospital offers several clinics as a result of an affiliation agreement with KHSC. The hospital also offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic services including laboratory services and diagnostic imaging.

Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital

The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital provides acute and chronic inpatient care as well as emergency and ambulatory care to 44,000 residents within the tri-county region of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville counties.

The hospital provides a satellite dialysis unit operated by KHSC and has an agreement with the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario at KGH site that allows cancer patients to receive care and treatment closer to home.

The hospital also provides sponsorship of Lanark County Mental Health, Lanark County Support Services and the Lanark County Sexual Assault Support Program.

The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital is located on two sites, the Great War Memorial site in Perth and the Smiths Falls site.

Quinte Health 

Quinte Health (QH) provides a wide spectrum of specialized primary and secondary care to patients within an area that includes Hastings and Prince Edward counties and the southeast portion of Northumberland County.

Care is provided across four sites (QH Belleville General, QH North Hastings, QH Prince Edward County Memorial and QH Trenton Memorial) and includes four emergency departments, operating rooms at three sites, a rehabilitation day hospital, a children's treatment centre, diabetes education, ambulatory care clinics and community mental health programs.
